GRIPiTe V10 20L
GRIPiTe V10 20L
GRIPiTe® V10 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive – permanently tacky water-based Acrylic Emulsion. For use with installing backed carpet tiles or similar dimensionally stable products only requiring a “tackifi er” onto cement-based floor substrates and access flooring panels.
The purpose of using pressure-sensitive adhesive is to stabilise the installation of the desired floor covering, to prevent lateral movement but enable the lifting of tiles to give access to the access panels or substrate underneath and then replace the tile later, still retaining adhesion properties. Pressure-sensitive adhesive also allows for easy tile rotation In office environments.

GRIPiTe® V10 is a pressure-sensitive, permanently tacky acrylic adhesive.
GRIPiTe® V10 is a single-component adhesive supplied in 20l drums clearly labelled GRIPiTe® V10. GRIPiTe® V10 can be used for the installation of backed carpet tiles or products requiring tackifiers as an adhesive onto cement-based substrates and access flooring panels.
GRIPiTe® V10 has rapid tack build-up,
GRIPiTe® V10 is water-based, with no organic solvents, this adhesive is “green” and complies with all GBCSA requirements.
GRIPiTe® V10 has a low odour, making it suitable for use in rooms adjacent to occupied areas. GRIPiTe® V10 is designed for use with backed carpet tiles or similar characterised products where no permanent bond is required, and the adhesive has no effect on the stability product performance. In particular, areas where the carpet tiles similar characterised products may require removal and refitment from time to time, this is generally evident on access flooring panels
The preparation of the subfl oor is critical to ensure successful installation of any fl oor covering and must therefore be strictly adhered to, too ensure longevity and performance of the floor and floor covering for the duration of its lifespan.
- The substrate must be structurally sound,
- Free of loose granular particles
- Free of excess dust
- Dry-screed moisture levels must be below 3% using a VI-D4 Moisture meter and or below 75%RH • Adhere to the floor covering manufacturer’s specification for moisture levels. should the floor covering manufacturers’ moisture level specification differ from that in point 4 the lower of the two should be maintained.
- Free of any contamination, laitance, old adhesive, grease, oils, wax, sealers, and any substance that can inhibit adhesion.
- Adhere to the floor covering manufacturer’s specification for floor flatness conformity. • Access flooring panels must be secure, and free of contaminants, as mentioned above.
- The floor temperature must be maintained constantly above 10°c before, during and after the application, flashoff and final drying of the adhesive. The floor temperature must not deviate more than 19°c from the Initial temperature reading during Installation.
Further subfloor preparation information can be made available on request.
SCREED MOISTURE
Should the screed moisture levels exceed that stipulated above, and that mandated by the fl oor covering manufacturer it is imperative that the substrate be prepared with VAPORiTe® Plus, or Premium depending on the application and complexity thereof.
SUBFLOOR SURFACE FINISH
The subfloor surface must conform to the requirements set out by the floor covering manufacturer to ensure the floor covering maintains Integrity throughout its life span. should the surface not conform to that required, the subfloor can be rectified utilizing the appropriate LEVELiTe® self-levelling compound.
- Apply GRIPiTe® V10 with a MOHAIR roller to obtain a thin film on the substrate
- Allow the GRIPiTe® V10 to fl ash off completely before laying the floor covering. The adhesive will turn from an opaque to a semi-transparent (clear) film when ready for Installation of the floor covering • It is critical to ensure It has flashed off completely and be dry to the touch before installing the floor covering as this enables the product to build up the desired tack.
- It is imperative that the adhesive be allowed to flash off properly before installing the carpet tiles as failure to adhere to this may cause damage to the backing of tiles when lifting them out of the adhesive.
- The adhesive will take approximately 25 minutes to flash off sufficiently, depending on ambient temperature and atmospheric moisture. These will vary from site to site depending on climatic conditions and geographical regions
- NB The floor temperature must be maintained constantly above 10°c during and after the application, flash off and final drying of the adhesive. The floor temperature must not deviate more than 19°c from the Initial temperature reading during Installation
- Ensure the floor covering is properly acclimatised prior to Installation, as per floor covering manufacturers recommendations, and installation instructions prior to use.
- Ensure a stable ambient temperature Is maintained for a minimum of 24 hours pre, during and post Installation to allow the adhesive to fully cure and minimise any expansion and shrinkage within the floor covering material.
- Allow the adhesive 24 hours to set before applying any load to the floor covering, this Includes but Is not limited to furniture.
- The use of chair protectors is strongly recommended to minimise ware on the entire fl ooring system.
- walk off mats are also recommended to minimise soiling of the fl oor covering.
GRIPiTe® V10 is applied at a rate of approximately 6m² per Litre, on a cementitious substrate, depending on the porosity and roughness of the surface.
GRIPiTe® V10 is applied at a rate of approximately 10m² per Litre on steel access flooring panels, These usage rates may vary depending on porosity and surface conditions of the subfloor.
GRIPiTe® V10 must be stored in a cool dry place.
GRIPiTe® V10 must be stored between 5°c and 30°c, and protected from frost, direct sunlight and the elements.
GRIPiTe® V10 will last for 12 months unopened.
