iTe PROTILE®BOND is a latex-based liquid additive designed to improve strength and waterproof properties when used as a water replacement in iTe PROTILE® Tile Adhesives and Grout.
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease or any contamination that could impair bonding.
Make good any unsound areas and remove flaky or peeling layers.
Organic growth must be removed and the spores killed. PVA paint and gypsum plaster must be chipped to expose 80% of the substrate. Enamel paint and bitumen should be scraped and chipped to expose 80% of the substrate.
Do not use a solvent or heat to remove bitumen from the surface. Existing ceramic tiles must be thoroughly cleaned.
Rinse well with cold water.
Substitute the water in iTe PROTILE® Tile Adhesives and Grout with iTe PROTILE®BOND. Refer to the relevant adhesive and grout mixing instructions for the correct ratio. Dilution with water would weaken the mix. Add the iTe PROTILE®BOND into the mixing vessel. Slowly add the iTe PROTILE® Tile Adhesives or Grout and mix until a lump-free smooth paste is obtained.
iTe PROTILE®BOND – when used as a total water substitute, iTe PROTILE® Tile Adhesives and Grout can be used in the following areas: Wet areas such as showers, swimming pools, balconies and external areas, high traffic areas, cold-rooms and areas where temperature fluctuations are expected.
Immediately clean with a damp sponge while wet.
All data supplied is based on laboratory tests conducted at 20oC, and 50% relative humidity. On-site atmospheric conditions may require adaptation to suite circumstances.
Do not ingest. Keep away from children and pets. Do not empty into a drain. Wear rubber gloves, and in the event of prolonged contamination, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. Consult our Material Safety Data Sheet for more information.
iTe® PROTILE BOND is guaranteed to be free of any manufacturing defect. iTe Products® further warrants that if iTe® PROTILE BOND is applied in accordance with the relevant method statement issued for the specific project, by an approved applicator, the system is guaranteed for the life of the floorcovering.
