iTe SLURRY® is an essential keying agent in the application of LEVELiTe® over VAPORiTe ®+PLUS, as well as over ceramic / porcelain tiles, epoxy coatings and smooth surfaces.
iTe SLURRY® is water based and contains no VOCs which fully complies with the GBCSA’s requirements.
iTe SLURRY® is applied with a lamb’s wool roller at a rate of approximately 5.8m²/kg, when applied over VAPORiTe®+PLUS. This yield may vary if applied over surfaces other than VAPORiTe ®+PLUS.
Before application of iTe SLURRY® over VAPORiTe ®+PLUS the surface must be fully cured, free of any loose particles and dust. The surface must be thoroughly swept or vacuumed prior to the application. Before the application of iTe SLURRY® over surfaces other than VAPORiTe ®+PLUS, they must be free of any loose particles and dust. Ensure that the tiles are fi rmly bonded, with no loose or hollow spots, or in the case of coatings, that they are well bonded and no signs of blistering, bubbles or delamination are evident.
iTe SLURRY® must not be applied to surfaces where both surface and ambient temperatures are below 5oC. Stir the contents of the iTe SLURRY® bucket with an electric paddle mixer for 2 minutes. Apply a thin coat onto the surface by means of a lamb’s wool roller. Allow to dry before applying LEVELiTe® to the iTe SLURRY® surface as per our instructions as set out in the relevant data sheets. Should VAPORiTe ®+PLUS form part of the system, ensure it is fully cured before iTe SLURRY® is applied.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, iTe SLURRY® dries in approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Test the dryness by scratching the iTe SLURRY®. No iTe SLURRY® should come off. It is imperative not to proceed with the application of LEVELiTe® over the iTe SLURRY® before it is fully dried.
Tools, equipment and soiled surfaces must be washed with water and a mild detergent immediately after
iTe SLURRY® must be stored in a cool dry place.
iTe SLURRY® must be stored between 5°c and 30°c, and protected from frost, direct sunlight, and the elements.
iTe SLURRY® will last for 12 months unopened.
